Fairies and Butterflies

Fairies and Butterflies

This tut is written using a beautiful PTU kit created by Redbutterfly78  called Spring which can be purchased at here at Heartbeatz Store.   It was written using PSPX, but is adaptable to any version and is for people with a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies: Vix_Mask 362 which can be downloaded from her site here

Ok, let’s get started.  Open a new image 550 by 550, fill with white, select all, add new raster layer, c/p paper4 into selection, select none. Open vix_mask 362, Layers/new mask layer/from image, select vix_mask 362 from the drop down, invert is selected, click ok. Merge group.  Effects/texture effects/texture, pick a texture you would like to use.  I used grain fine cloudy with these settings, size % 50, Image/ 0-5-10-10, Light/ color white, 315-50-30.

Open Rainbow1, resize 65%, c/p as new layer, add drop shadow. Open frame 2. Although this frame is quite interesting and I will use it in another creation with this kit, for this tag I wanted only to use the flourish with the flowers. First, I used the Hue Map to change the color of the flowers to pink.  Then I used the freehand selection tool to select around the flower doodle, edit/cut, paste as new image.  I then used my eraser to erase any parts of the wire frame that was left. Then c/p our flower doodle on a new layer and move it under the rainbow to the upper right of the tag, add a drop shadow.

Open Swing2, resize to 25%, c/p as new layer, drag layer under rainbow, position swing where you would like it, add drop shadow.  Highlight flower doodle layer, duplicate, mirror, flip, move it down to the bottom left of the tag, hiding the cut off edge under the swing.

Open the ladder, resize to 35%, c/p as new layer, use your deform tool to rotate it slightly to the left, drag the layer under the rainbow, add drop shadow.  Open another one of the fairies, resize to 30%, c/p as new layer on one of the top rungs of the ladder, add a drop shadow

Now if you look at the top right flower doodle you will see there is a little cluster of elements consisting of a pearl, purple star and aqua star that overlaps it from the rainbow image.  Highlight the rainbow layer and use your selection tool to select that little cluster and click on Edit/cut. Paste as new layer and move it somewhere on the lower portion of the tag.  I duplicated this layer several times and moved each one here and there around our tag.

Open deko20, resize to 35%, c/p as new layer, position it where you want it, duplicate, resize a bit smaller and position it where you want it.  Add as many of these little hearts as you would like. Add a drop shadow to each layer

Open Butterfly6, resize to 30%, c/p as new layer, rotate slightly to the right and move it somewhere on the bottom right of the tag. I duplicated the butterfly 3 times and placed them here and there on the tag, rotating and resizing with the deform tool. Add a drop shadow to each layer.
